My name is Temidayo Bambe, and I'm a high school junior at Church Farm School. I've been involved with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work since middle school, however, I didn't know what DEI was until I attended the Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC) in 2019. Ever since then, I have been interested in learning more about the different aspects of DEI and improving the student morale at my school. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, my peers and I try to find ways to make sure that teachers and students at Church Farm are on the same page whether on campus or virtually. I wanted to be apart of the National Diversity Coalition (NDC) because I felt that I could learn more from this coalition. Ever since the first zoom call meeting, I could tell this was a powerful community.
The Ambassadors of The National Diversity Coalition are student leaders from schools all around the nation that collaborate in the coalition to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion at their school. The Diversity Alliance Executive Team will collaborate with you to elevate your DEI work on a bigger platform with various events and initiatives. If you are interested in joining, please fill our Join Us Ambassador Form.
