Diversity is all around us, despite the ever-present desire to fit in. That is why I want to represent the National Diversity Coalition. Recently, students have been realizing that it's better to celebrate differences than become a homogenous community. Homogeneity is one of the main sources of hatred, both towards yourself and towards those unlike you. My school is no different. Baldwin is so capable of love, and I think that it is reasonable to imagine a future in which the yearning to be the same as everyone else is eliminated. Not hopefully, but certainly, we will accept all diverse groups regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, class, et cetera, in our foreseeable future.
The Ambassadors of The National Diversity Coalition are student leaders from schools all around the nation that collaborate in the coalition to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion at their school. The Diversity Alliance Executive Team will collaborate with you to elevate your DEI work on a bigger platform with various events and initiatives. If you are interested in joining, please fill our Join Us Ambassador Form.
