My name is Kiran Chinniah. I go to the University of Chicago Lab Schools in Chicago, IL. I am so excited to join the National Diversity Coalition (NDC) because I love the message and want to do everything I can to support the coalition. One thing I hope to see change at my school is the stigma about not having a lot of funding. Another thing I would like to see change at Lab is the way our administration handles oppressive students. I am the founder and president of the Girls of Color Affinity group at my high school, and we, along with many other diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)-based clubs have been working to guarantee students are held accountable for their actions.

The Ambassadors of The National Diversity Coalition are student leaders from schools all around the nation that collaborate in the coalition to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion at their school. The Diversity Alliance Executive Team will collaborate with you to elevate your DEI work on a bigger platform with various events and initiatives.
